Hi Everyone,
Happy June, hope you are all well and your gardens are planted with the weeds removed.
The milk bag mats keep coming in and we continue to give them to people in need. Thank you for all your work… or should I say enjoyment of creating something for someone.
May has been productive and I have a lot of mats being delivered this weekend, but for our ACTUAL mat count so far this year, we have donated 2469 mats. Way to go!!
I had 4 skids, or 160 boxes of milk bags delivered to my home a couple of weeks ago, so I have plenty to share. Come one come all to our Pick up your Bags day which I have scheduled for Wednesday, June 8th. If this day does not work for you, send me an email with your availability and we will arrange for another day that I am home to help you.
There are also boxes of bags at Canadian Food for Children at 1258 Lakeshore Rd. E. in Mississauga. Remember, they are only open Monday to Friday from 8 AM until noon. If you want to drop off your mats and then pick up boxes of bags, this option is open to you as well. Just remember to send me an email with the number of mats you donated there and then I will add your count to our Main List, so I can keep a record of how many we donated for the next newsletter.
Donation of a frame… there is one more frame up for grabs at a school in Markham. If you want it, let me know, but since it is at a school, please be mindful that the school will be shutting down for the summer. I’m not sure if the teacher is going to keep the frame over the summer, so please, if you are thinking you might like to have a frame or need another one for your group, let me know and I will put you in contact with the teacher.
Enjoy your day, and hope your gardens grow with beautiful flowers,
Angela
