Year end greetings from Angela

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to send an update on the year 2023. So many of you have been very generous with your time and I want to thank you. I’m sure the people who received your mat thank you too.

In the year 2023 my records show that we sent 5912 mats to people in need. If anyone sends me a note saying they have taken mats to CFFC or given them somewhere else, I will put those numbers on our 2024 list.

Over the past 15 years we have sent 60,621 mats around the world. A rough estimate of the bags kept out of landfill is 34,430,500. I know there are many who have not reported how many mats they have made, and that is okay.. just know this is what I have a record of.

Many  have been inspired by the photos of people and groups who have been part of our team. Our Bolton group is a hardworking team of Barb, Esther and Gary.

Our next picture is one of a beautiful mat made by a lady in Mississauga.. what lovely care she puts into her work.

And to top it off.. look at this photo. St. Andrew’s Ajax Presbyterian Church, has a wonderful lawn display of trees made with recycled products. Notice that there are trees made from milk bags.

At this time, I’d like to wish you a wonderful holiday season. From me, it’s Merry Christmas, from others, Happy Hanukkah, and from others, Happy Kwanzaa. Whatever you celebrate, may your home be filled with peace and joy.

Blessings to all,
