Looking for volunteer drivers around Ontario

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are well. Our project is more important than ever, people are in need far and wide, at home and overseas. I get emails everyday about the milk bag project and everyday I hear of news where our mats are needed. Thank you for your donation of time towards helping others.

Our mat count is climbing and we have sent 5198 mats so far this year.

Milk bag mat at work! | Bagged milk, Chunky knit, Chunky yarn

I am overwhelmed with the success of the project, but I need help. I need more drivers to take the milk bag mats to Canadian Food for Children. During the pandemic I was able to take a load of mats almost every week to CFFC, which pretty much kept the mats moving, but lately, at least 2 deliveries a week are going to the warehouse. I am so happy to have 4 people who are always ready to help, but I don’t like to take advantage of their generosity.I am overwhelmed with the success of the project, but I need help. Markham Milk Bag Program

Would anyone who is reading this be willing to take a load of mats once in awhile to CFFC? The more of you who would do this, the fewer times you would have to drive. It would be nice if no one felt inconvenienced and only drove once every 6 weeks or so. If we all work together no one will feel like I’m asking too often. I always say, “if my garage is full of mats, they aren’t helping anyone.”

Our next “pick up your bags day” will be on Wednesday, November 10th.  Please let me know if you are coming so I can expect your visit.
Stay well,  Angela
