Its the busy season…

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are well and enjoying the busyness of the season.
Things are going well with the milk bag project. It is hard to believe, but we have gone through over 140 boxes of milk bags since the delivery of them in September. SO.. guess what? I have had another 140 boxes being delivered to my home, and they will be available for pick up your bags day. I am waiting for the boxes to be delivered, so I can’t give you a pick up day, but I am sending my newsletter and will send another email with a date for bag pick up as soon as I receive the boxes.

So far this year we have sent 5967 mats to people who are in need.
Our wonderful Webmaster, Bettina, has revamped our website. Have a look at https://milkbagsunlimited.ca. We are still proof reading it and fixing things here and there, but for the most part it is done. We had it down for a few days and I actually got emails telling me they could not get on the site, so we put it back up even though it was a work in progress.

I have one frame donation… There is one 6 loop frame at a school in Markham. If you would like to have this frame, let me know and I will put you in contact with the teacher who has it.

It’s holiday time and some of us send and receive more mail than usual. If you get mail with postage stamps on them, would you please cut off a quarter inch around the stamp and save them for me.  I will send them to the lady in Ottawa who sends them to the Miriam Care Centre. The centre provides confidential, free, emotional and practical assistance to pregnant women and mothers in need. The volunteers who work there, put a value on the stamps and have an annual stamp sale as a fundraiser.

We also save pop tabs.. they go to either Hamilton or Coburg for charities that collect them for buying wheelchairs.
As I said, I will send a short email once I receive the boxes of milk bags so you can pick them up and continue weaving mats. The January news letter will have a breakdown of all the mats we have sent around the world since we started working together.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, and happy holiday season. Thank you for all your work and know that even though this email goes far and wide, I know most of you and think of you often.
Blessings, Angela
