Hi Everyone,
I can’t believe it is March; the past few months have been very busy and each day speeds by. I just planted my peppers and parsley seeds for this year’s garden.
Our mat making efforts continue. So far this year we have sent 722 mats to people in need. At the moment, I am completely out of bags and I’m waiting for the next batch of rejected bags from the manufacturer. There are, however, boxes of bags at Canadian Food for Children at 1258 Lakeshore Rd. E in Mississauga. They are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM until noon. NO afternoons or weekends. Once I get a shipment of bags to my home, I will let you know. For now, please go to CFFC.
I would like to highlight a group of weavers a month; this month I am introducing you to the ladies at Lynne Creek Village in Whitby. These ladies, are dedicated weavers. When they have an appointment in the west end of Toronto, they make a delivery to Canadian Food for Children with their mats and other donations.

We often get emails saying they have a few bags or a box of bags and they would like to know where they can drop them off. Bettina (my webmaster) and I would like to have a new list of places that would accept milk bags from people in their communities. With your permission, Bettina would put your location on our website, and our readers would be able to take their bags to a place where there are weavers. For example, a church or a retirement home or a school might be a drop off location that would accept bags from local people. Not everyone can bring their bags to me as I may live far too far from the donor.
If you would like to have your group in my next newsletter, send me a few pictures and I will make sure to highlight your efforts for all of us to see. If you weave alone in your home, and have pics I would love to see them and share with our weaving community. We might seem like we are alone, but like the strands of plastic, we weavers are all connected.
