Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all well. I am a little late with this newsletter, but perhaps the timing was meant to be.
Yesterday evening, while I was out in the garage getting my garbage ready to put out to the road, my neighbour stopped by and asked, “Hey Ang, do you have any of those mats?” I said, yes, of course, and asked her why she wanted to know this. She told me that the woman who helps care for her daughter is from Jamaica, and is sending a container of supplies at the beginning of December to support hurricane-relief efforts after Hurricane Melissa devastated parts of the country a couple of weeks ago.

We counted the mats and found out I had 39 in total, and every single one will now be headed to Jamaica. What a beautiful and unexpected moment of connection and kindness. Janet, the woman sending the supplies, was overjoyed. She also let me now that if we can get more mats delivered to my home by the end of November, she will gladly take every one we can provide.
So here is my challenge to you? if you are able, please bring your mats to me – whether you have 1 or 100, and I will make sure they reach Janet for this relief shipment. Just leave them in the driveway! If you don’t have the address, send a message to info@milkbagsunlimited.ca or bettinaroth@rogers.com
Even though we have had to source our own bags this year, we continue to make incredible progress. To date, we have sent 3,731 mats to people in need. Thank you all so much for your dedication, your hard work and your generous hearts.
Please keep weaving, the need is great,
Angela
