Over the past Thanksgiving weekend our family met together in Moncton, N.B. to visit and spend quality time with our loved ones. While I was there, the leader of the milk bag group was having a few friends over to help pack up the mats made by people in communities in and around Moncton. We tied, boxed, and bagged all the mats which are now going to be transported to Toronto to go to Canadian Food for Children to be shipped to people in need. After counting all the mats we came to a grand total of 366 mats!!! Fantastic work everyone!!
All the mats will be transported by Armour Transport. I wish to say thank you to all the people who volunteered their time to make the mats and wish them well as they continue weaving this fall and winter. I also want to say thank you to Armour Transport; without your help we would never be able to get these mats to their destination.
Thank you everyone.. it is awesome to see the happy faces and the joy this project brings to so many people.
