More and more mats…

Mr. L. H. Park- Student Life Digital Community Coordinator-from Seneca College,King Campus,  was kind enough to share some photos of the recent MilkbagsUNLIMITED mats making project. We want to thank all the students who donated their time and energy, during their reading week,  to weave the mats that were immediately sent to Sierra Leone .

Meanwhile in Toronto’s Kensington Gardens,  the seniors, as well as their families and staff members are busy cutting bags, stuffing pillows with cut-offs or weaving the bags into mattresses. It has created a sense of community for everyone who is happily involved in creating sleeping mats for the needy in many different countries.  All this is great to improve the residents’ physical strength, and enhance their social and emotional well being by giving them a sense of purpose.
